I couldn't resist taking this picture. This is our incredible cat Solomon. He's a bit mischievous. :-)
We actually had to completely tape up our little pictures on the map because Solomon kept removing them.
This project is part of our science lessons. We are studying Zoology III: Land Creatures of the Sixth Day. We're in the final two lessons, so our map is quite full of creatures.

Too funny. Question about the Zoology book. Is the map idea included in there or did you come up with that on your own? My kids are following the 1st book through a science group but we're looking forward to using the 2nd book next year on our own. It's been hard not being involved in their science this year missing out on all the learning (except for nature walks and the other random stuff of course.) Anyways, fun picture.
The map idea is in the book. Zoology I is a good one. That's what really got us started with birding. We did do it in a co-op, but parents were still required to be actively involved in the school work. We read at home together and prepared to do the activities together. I was in the class to help, too.
ZII will be fun especially if you can get to the coast for marine biology type field trips.
