Here's a Christmas gift I just finished for my little cousin. We pick names every year. We enjoyed making this set. This is a fleece poncho with marabou sewn on for trim, a matching purse and scrunchie. We could go on all night with the scrap material, but we have to go somewhere now. Oh, the whole thing, including the pattern, cost us $7.50. We got everything on sale at Hancock Fabrics.
I also made a nice cork board memo type set that I'm using for my own wall. It would make a wonderful gift. You can view that at my stamping blog:

Well, Christmas came a little early for us. We have a new member of the family. You didn't know I was pregnant all this time, huh? Well, you'll be happy to know that I wasn't. We have a new kitty! His name is Solomon. He is a bengal cat. He's very special and was given to us by a woman that loves him dearly. We hope to provide as happy a home as he came from.
He's got quite a personality. Lots of fun and cuddly too. He warmed up right away and has pretty much claimed this area as his. He's allowing Whirl (our guinea pig) to stay since he was grandfathered in. :-)

I think this blog thing is easy enough for me to keep updated. So, here are a few benchmarks...
Taylor recently graduated to a brown-black belt in Karate. Boy, she has really stuck with it. Suzanne Sherwood is her favorite instructor. The Sherwood family is also a homeschool family and a rather large family I believe. Some of her family is in our scout troop.
Daniel got to attend a cooking class recently where he got to make green eggs and ham! It was the cutest thing. This place is called Young Chef's Academy. They offerred a free introductory class. We couldn't pass that up! He got to cut, stir, and cut an egg among other fun things!
Oh, and we won't forget our unit celebration! We dressed as Hebrews and Egyptians to display our hard work in our Tapestry of Grace homeschool co-op (TOGNESA). We're studying ancient history this year and we're having a lot of fun! The theme of our unit celebration was the Jewish traditional Sukkot. We had a Sukkah and ate some yummy food. Lisa Bell made a bunch of Challah bread that was wonderful! The kids presented a Tower of Babel play. There were a couple of other wonderful presentations... but I could go on and on. Our next unit celebration will be in January, theme to be "International Dinner'!
This is a picture of our wonderful American Herirage Girl Tenderfoot 2-3 group. This is our 3rd year with this scout troop and we love it! It is a homeschool scout troop with over 30 families I believe from the San Antonio and surrounding areas. Don't think homeschooling is popular? These kids are smart and very well socialized if you wanna go there. :-)
Wow... I have so many pictures to catch up on. Guess there's always time to add on. So, I'll work on that later.

Well, this is new. Someone asked me to post pictures of the stamp-a-stack (SAS) cards on a blog page. I have a website, but it takes a lot of time for me to edit it. So, I'll give this a shot.
Here are the cards we made at our recent class:
My camera is out of batteries or I'd post individual pictures. A friend of mine stopped by and asked if we have any overly-religious cards that she could make. :-) With the stores trying to kick Christ out of Christmas, many of us have become more sensitive to the simple "Season's Greetings" and "Happy Holidays" where we never thought of that before.
The Lion and the Lamb card, despite it's lack of tradtional Christmas color, was actually the most popular card from the last SAS. This one is pictured on the lower right. Yes, another group picture.
I think I like this blog thing already. Finally something easy to use! Here's another blog to check out to see what other stuff I'll get to make in the next few weeks:
